What is group supervision?
Group supervision sessions provide support, guidance and the opportunity for reflection within your professional role as a DSL. Supervision with an educational psychologist offers a space for targeted reflection and support processing work-based situations and events. It offers the opportunity to de-brief and think constructively about different areas of the role and using group process facilitation, it supports the attendees to develop solutions and actions that can be applied to specific casework.

Supervision supports the development of effective practice, personal self-growth and professional development in the workplace.

Training Objectives What models of supervision will be used?
There are a variety of group supervision models that can be used and the educational psychologist facilitating the session will introduce the group to these. Over the sessions, the DSLs will take ownership of the models which will allow them to choose the model that they feel will be most beneficial to them.

What do I need to prepare before each session?
Each session will focus on specific casework that attendees bring to the session. Prior to each session it would be helpful if supervisees could reflect on cases that they have been involved that they feel they would benefit on facilitated reflection or processed problem-solving so that they feel comfortable discussing it at the session.
