Event Description This session will provide an opportunity for you to consider how you develop professional relationships with parents and engage them with their children’s learning. We will review the key messages from the research undertaken by the EEF and also a range of strategies to engage the hard to reach parents. We will also discuss how to prepare for ‘parents’ evenings’ and engage parents in positive learning conversations. As a result, colleagues will,
• develop an increased understanding of parental involvement and engagement and its impact on children’s learning
• review a range of strategies to support and nurture parental relationships
• be confident and prepared to engage in conversations with parents about any issue
Audience: ECT, RQT’s and teaching assistants
Cost:
• £50 + VAT with an ECT SLA
• £70 + VAT without an ECT SLA
