Event Description | Audience – Teaching Assistants in Early Years Focus: - Understanding the power of the characteristics of effective teaching and learning, how children in the early years learn and develop these characteristics every day and what role does the adult need to play in order to give the children confidence to develop these skills. The characteristics of effective learning are all about how children learn, and we need to ensure that all adults who work with young children understand the critical role these characteristics play in the EYFS and how they link to the four principles of Early years – unique child, positive relationships, enabling environments, learning and development. • What are they • why are they important • how DO children learn • what do they look like in every minute of every day for each unique child • how can adults promote these characteristics within the enable environments This course will take you on that magical journey of a 4-year-old, where will we find inspiration, what will motivation look like, how do you provoke exciting learning and when you have seen all of this in a child’s learning, what do you do with that knowledge?
