Designing an Autism Curriculum

Event Description An overview of the learning needs presented by autistic pupils and practical suggestions about how to provide a relevant curriculum that addresses those needs, as well as ideas on how to adapt the existing curriculum.

By the end of this 60-minute training, delegates will be able to:
• Understand some key theories that go some way to explaining key difficulties associated with autism.
• Identify key learning needs that require specific teaching.
• Learn about a range of strategies to adapt/modify activities to make them autism friendly.
