This course/session will revisit the value and importance of talk and oracy in the classroom to support learning.
Colleagues will consider a range of practical ideas and strategies that can be used in the classroom to promote talk and improve pupils’ oracy
As a result, colleagues will:
• Be more confident in planning and developing ‘talk for learning’ opportunities – ‘oracy’ using a range of practical strategies/activities
• Have a deeper understanding of progression and expectations re: talk
• Take away a ‘toolkit’ of practical ideas and strategies that you can use to effectively support oracy (talk for understanding) in the classroom
