The Early Years Team are delighted to bring you a full day of inspirational and motivational keynotes and workshops exploring the most talked about and current need to know topics in early years provision.

This unmissable day aims to motivate, refresh and inform you and your team. We have chosen to hold the event over two days so that those of you attending on the Saturday have no cover costs and so may wish to send several members of your team. Also, we hope that local Childminders will be able to join us.

A Fresh Perspective on the New EYFS
Neil Farmer will take us through the new EYFS and Development Matters frameworks. He will offer an alternative take on the opportunities it gives us to develop our practice as well as looking at the potential challenges.

An Introduction to SchemaPlay; John Siraj-Blatchford and Lynnette Brock
Join internationally renowned John and Lynnette for a fascinating look at schema play. Discover more about the phenomenon of the Zone of Proximal Developmental Flow, a state of optimal learning that young children enter into as they become absorbed in learning through play.

Sensory storytelling and language acquisition; Katrice Horsley
From witnessing the power that story wields in creating powerful change, Katrice has developed a narrative-based process that enables organisations, communities and individuals to start to create the stories they want to live.

This session will focus on underlying purpose of the EYFS, how to develop Independence, resilience, and autonomy within the children. To give children the thrill, the will and the skill.

Introducing the Education Safeguarding Team’s third annual DSL Network Conference.
Our recently appointed Chief Executive WCF & Director of Children's Services Tina Russell will open the conference, which will be followed by 1 speaker and 2 workshops.

This 2-day curriculum conference is for all school leaders.
Day 1 has 3 national speakers and is aimed at Head Teachers and Deputies who hold the strategic overview of Curriculum in school.

The National speakers are Dr Debra Kidd, Author of Curriculum of Hope, Jonathon Keay, HMI leading the Curriculum development Unit for Ofsted and Dave Harris who is a renowned speaker on managing change.

Day 2 offers a range of virtual workshops to choose from, all aimed at leaders and middle leaders who are looking for operational inspiration on a variety of areas. Workshops will include input from the School Improvement Team and sessions that are sector led, including: subject leadership, designing a knowledge rich curriculum and deep dives into reading.
Each school will be able to book multiple places on day 1, day 2 or both days, with discounts available. Please see pricing structure below.

Day 1 only - £150.00 per delegate
Day 2 only- £90.00 per delegate
Day 1 &2 combined - £199.00 per delegate

Schools are more than welcome to send different members of staff on each of the days, however please ensure when booking this is reflected in the booking notes. If this is not specified you will be charged accordingly based on the pricing structure above. .
